Americans are getting their news from social media more and more. According to a recent study by Pew Research Center, 43% of American adults get their news from Facebook. (Some sources indicate that has many as 52% of Americans get their news from social media!)


Unfortunately, fake news is rife on the platform. Despite efforts to curb misinformation on

Facebook, 57% of Americans say they expect the news they see on social media platforms to be largely inaccurate.


As people become more aware of the prevalence of fake news on social media, they are beginning to change their behavior; 52% of Americans say they have changed the way they use social media because of fake news.
